My dearest Cha Cha you left us peacefully with lots of memories. May your grave be a rose garden forever.

I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of my uncle Salim fondly known as Babulil to many but Babulil chacha for me.
I extend my sincere condolences to my cousins Zeeda & family, Beroni & family, Stanley & family and Sanal & family and all the other family and friends who mourn the loss of Babulil chacha.
I was blessed to have Babulil chacha throughout my life. He was there for me in my youth, driving me in his hire car to and from high school a few times.
I have very fond memories of many summers spent with Babulil chacha and Fareda chachi at their home in Crabwood Creek road end. Back then we used to refer to it as "August holidays" when school closed for about two months.
Later in life when we all migrated to the US Babulil chacha was able to spend a few nights at my home as he visited my dad, his brother Latiff.
Babulil chacha has been a constant in my life growing up and the close relationship continued into my adulthood. For this and many more reasons, I will miss him dearly.
To know him is to love him. I know him very much. I wish him godspeed in his car "one desire" as he transitions in his journey to meet his creator.
May Allah grant him eternal rest.
Carol and family
My brother, sister and I have many fond memories of Babulil chacha from my family trip to Guyana with our mom in the early 1990s. It was phagwah time and we were douzed in colours at his CWC "road end" home with his children Zeeda and Zahir and our favourite Beroni.
We experienced the driving of a star driver when Babulil chacha made a detour from the closed road to a side dam and drove his car full of passengers across the trench on 2 planks. Then, as kids we thought that was "cool." Today as grown adults, as we reflect on that particular instance, we realize how risky and dangerous the maneuver was. Nonetheless, it had to take skill and courage for a driver to do that confidently and safely.
We have cherished memories of Babulil chacha visiting our home in Bowmanville and spending a few weeks with us.
We have fond memories of family stories shared by our mom and grandfather. Stories that included Babulil chacha and his kindnesses and his caring, fun-loving ways.
We extend our sincere condolences to the surviving children of Babulil chacha. To Azeeda, Zoraida (aka Beroni), Stanley and Razia (aka Sanal) and their families. We pray Allah grant you all peace and comfort at this time of your bereavement.
We personally know what it means to lose a father. We recently experienced it ourselves. We lost our dad about 4 months ago. Zeeda and the family were supportive of us with her kind words of encouragement that helped us through. We pray that our support in kind also bring you a degree of comfort at this time.
Allah's richest blessings on all the family for the care they provided to Babulil chacha over the years
May Allah have mercy on the soul of our dear departed Babulil chacha. Rest in peace, Babulil chacha.
With kind thoughts and prayers

My favourite chacha is no longer with us. From Allah he came and to Allah he has returned.
Rest in peace, Babulil chacha
It is with a heavy heart that I must bear the responsibility of honoring my baby brother. I did so for all of his life and I must continue do so at this time of his death and for the rest of my own life. I will miss you dearly, Babulil. I will forever cherish all the pleasant and not so pleasant memories of our family over the past eight decades.
I have many memories and stories that readily come to mind but one of my favourite memories that has stayed with me for many years is when Babulil went to Georgetown on his small motorbike to see Princess Margaret. While in town he bought a bigger bike and riding around in town he had an accident and wake up finding himself in hospital. Once he was discharged he didnt bother looking for his motorbike. He just headed home to Crabwood Creek.
I am grateful for the time I spent with you at your home in Guyana and for the many times I spent visiting you in the hospital.
You were strong and always a good fighter who defied the odds and always make it to recover from health challenges. I will say that this last time you have fought a good fight and you have won the race. You have kept your promises and you have earned your sleep.
Your loving wife Faiza, your beloved son Zahir, Pa, Ma, Jaya, Abdool, Samad and many of our other departed family members are waiting to greet you with open arms.
May Allah grant you eternal rest in peace.
Your grieving big brother, Latiff
